What is Sandblasting?

Sandblasting (also called abrasive blasting) is an effective way to prepare a variety of surfaces prior to coating. It uses compressed air to blast a jet of sand. This process can smoothen or roughen the surface of different materials as required.

Why Do Sandblasting?

The Sandblasting process is used to achieve a surface profile on the material, so that powdercoat has a prepped surface it can stick to.

We can Sandblast items made from steel, aluminium or even wood.

Alternative Surface Preparation

Often some materials and items are not as suited for Sandblasting. Other options for surface preparation include a 6-step acid dip process using tanks at our warehouse.

Acid Dip Process

Acid, Rinse, Rinse, Chromate, Rinse, Rinse.

We can also prepare items using other methods as required (such as hand-sanding). Just ask us for more details.
